MAIN SECTIONS OF THE PROGRAM
The main windows of the program and their descriptions. When you hover over the image, an information window appears, giving a brief description and a hotkey.
The Menu Editor is divided into several sections. The main section displays lists of dishes
organized by category. Initially, it will be empty and needs to be populated with dishes by adding new ones.
Adding new dishes is done by clicking the [Add dish from database] button or by pressing [F7].
A search bar is located below the main menu. You can search for dishes by code, dish name,
dish type, and manufacturer. To clear the bar, press [ESC]. The red bar below the search bar displays the
total number of dishes in the database. The "Code" column allows you to sort dishes from smallest
to largest and vice versa. At the bottom of the screen, there is an [Add Dish] button, hotkey [F4]. When you
expand the add dish panel, the blue [Add Dish] button changes to [Close].
This section is designed for fine-tuning software settings and advanced database
administration (deleting temporary files, completely clearing the database, importing a list of dishes from
an external XLS file). You can view hotkeys in the green information panel on the right. Information
tooltips and visual effects can also be controlled here. Control is provided via switches, buttons, and
links. ATTENTION: Technical information for the administrator. For importing from an XLS file to work
correctly, the file must be named 2base.xlsx and located in a specific path (specified in the
"Settings" section).

Interacting with finer details of the interface and becoming more involved in the program
At the top, you can see the main menu, which allows you to navigate the program. Current
date, Program name and version, Menu editor [ F1 ] / Dish database [ F2 ] / Settings [ F3 ] / About the
program [ F11 ] / Light/dark theme switch [ CTRL ] + [ L ] / Page refresh [ F5 ]
In the "Menu Editor" you can add a dish in the active template, delete a dish,
assign a price to a dish, and also clear a dish
The bottom toolbar contains buttons that perform various operations with menu templates. [
Broadcast ] > broadcasts active template to the customer screens [ F8 ]. Two-way screen broadcast. [
Print template ] > prints active template [ F8 ]. [ Add dishes from database ] > add dishes from the
database to the active template [ F7 ]. [ Date select ] > Select desired date for the active template [
Save ] > Save the date to the active template [ F9 ]
When you click the [Add dish from the database] button in the bottom panel of the "Menu
Editor" page, a modal window opens where you can select the required dishes.
The left-hand sidebar displays templates for lunch, breakfast, and cafeteria. The active
template is circled in red and highlighted. Below the menu templates are three links. The Dish Database
duplicates the main menu Dish Database link. There are also two links to customer screens for previews. At
the very bottom is a calendar bar with the current date.
Here you can enter the following data: dish code, dish name, dish ingredients, quantity,
dish type, and manufacturer. Clicking the green [Add to Database] button will add the dish to the database,
but only if the dish code doesnt match one already in the database. If this happens, the program will
display a warning and clear all fields for future entry of new data. The red [Clear Fields] button will
reset all fields to their default state.
In this modal window, you can edit all the main characteristics of a dish, including the
price, name, ingredients, weight, type of dish, or the production location. A green checkmark accepts the
changes and saves them to the database. An orange cross cancels the changes and returns to the list of
dishes in the database. Pressing [ESC] is equivalent to clicking the orange cross. Clicking the red trash
bin deletes the selected dish. Be careful when clicking the delete button!
This is a preview of the document when printing the active template from the Menu Editor, it
displays all the added dishes, and also indicates the signatories responsible for this document
To make the hotkey panel visible on the "Settings" and "About" pages,
you need to activate it in the "Settings" section using the "Enable right-hand hint"
toggle switch.

Why don't hotkeys work?
Make sure your keyboard layout is set to English. You can switch between these layouts by pressing [CTRL] + [SHIFT] or [ALT] + [SHIFT], depending on your computer's configuration.
